Adobe Flash (2025 Edition)[4 years later]
On January 1, 2021, Adobe Flash player was officially depricated, and removed from Windows via an update.
Starting originally as a project titled SmartSketch in 1993, seen as competition to Shockwave was purchased by Macromedia in 1996. In 2005, Adobe acquired Macromedia.
Flash was one of the most popular media players of it’s time being used for the construction of countless websites, movies, games, and applications.
Ruffle, originally born as Fluster in 2016, is the most popular and ine of the most sctively maintained Flash players, and it’s open source. Thanks to the fantastic developers of Ruffle, a large majority of Flash content can once again be enjoyed in a web browser.
There are indeed expansive archives of Flash content online, however, I’d like to bring some of my favorites to you here.
Play via your browser on our online Flash arcade here.
Explore and download the files here.
